CCAvenues' PayPal integration to offer merchants in Middle East global payment acceptance platform
Published by Times of India | 22nd May, 2023
CCAvenue, a payments aggregator in the Middle East and a part of the Infibeam Avenues group, has partnered with PayPal to provide global payment acceptance solutions for businesses in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

CCAvenues provides multi-currency online payment processing services to businesses across various industries. The partnership will provide businesses in the Middle East the convenience of a single payment partner, streamlining processes and ensuring a seamless payment experience.

"With this partnership, entrepreneurs and businesses across MENA can leverage PayPal's global reach to expand their cross-border sales," said Mark Mwongela, PayPal Director for Middle East and Africa.

Businesses in the region can now sell their products to 435 million active PayPal accounts in over 200 countries. Paypal has claimed that its partner businesses experience approximately a 30% boost. "Furthermore, customers who use PayPal tend to spend around 43% more money at retailers, primarily due to PayPal's buyer protection and dispute settlement services, which instil confidence in their shopping experiences," the payment company said.

Vishwas Patel, Executive Director of Infibeam Avenues, said that CCAvenue was among the select few payment aggregators to offer PayPal as a payment choice to businesses in the MENA region. Businesses that avail services will no longer require a US bank account to access their funds.

CCAvenue expanded its reach in the Middle East region after a 2014 partnership partnered with Mashreq Bank.
